We’re thoroughly excited to say we’ve now completed our second album…
Eleven tracks, developed through experimentation and reconfiguring who does what and how, whilst keeping a weather eye on the live show.
Allied to this Raf and O are also putting the finishing touches to a collaborative album with Robert Logan.
We’ll be posting info and some stuff onto Soundcloud in the next few days, so you can hear what we’ve all been up to.
Last year saw us working on an arrangement of David Bowie‘s ‘Lady Grinning Soul’ from 1973’s album Aladdin Sane. Bowie has been a huge and long standing influence of Raf’s, as it’s his 65th birthday today, we thought we’d record it and share it, we’ve run ahead with enthusiasm, but it proves to be more complicated/ involving to share as first thought. So it may have to wait. Still, happy Birthday David!
Next up…brand new Raf and O material.

Hi and welcome to the shiny new Raf and O site.
Following on last years Album release “A Giant In The Snow” we’re currently beavering away on this year’s new material.
Our first gig of 2011, April 18 @ 93 Feet East gave the opportunity to air the new songs in a live context. Excited with growing both sides in tandem, it’s definitely keeping us fresh and on our toes, really good to see how the studio to stage translation works.
Thanks for the support and the fantastic stage handing!
Well into a collaboration with the excellent Robert Logan, we are brewing up what we feel is some lovely stuff, soon to be getting radio airplay, so some post TBA on that front shortly.

SONG FOR JAPAN
Help the Japan relief appeal. Having spent a great day earlier this April in the studio singing with Gabby Young and friends, the track, SONG FOR JAPAN – “We’re All In This Together” was released on monday this week 16 05 11. Available on iTunes, all the proceeds go to the Japan relief fund.
So come in, have a look listen or whatever. Hopefully the site is all fully working, if anything doesn’t, let us know and we can look into it.
