We are Raf and O, we create songs, music, art, interpretations, performances, we direct all our projects.

We will make specifically for you and send you an original bespoke lovingly realised physical A4 booklet full of hand written lyrics for either, the songs from the Raf and O album ‘Portal’, or the songs from ‘The Space Between Nothing And Desire’ or the songs from our latest album ‘We Are Stars’, this is a gift strictly for members of Constellation Club only  + one year worth access to: monthly song stars formation posts (far ahead of their official releases to the wider public, we’ll be sharing secrets songs of the future in their formation states) – all Constellation Club posts will be via facebook posts for ‘Constellationists’ only + your name will appear in the thanks of a future album!

CONSTELLATION CLUB – DAZZLE WITH RAF AND O – £230

You will commission an original portrait painted by Raf (from a photo of you listening to a Raf and O song, or a portrait of either Raf or O listening to a Raf and O song) which will be sent to you personally when ready! Unique and personal art, personally made and delivered to you (It will ship within 3 months from the initial commission) + we will make specifically for you and send you an original bespoke lovingly realised physical A4 booklet full of hand written lyrics for either, the songs from the Raf and O album ‘Portal’, or the songs from ‘The Space Between Nothing And Desire’ or the songs from our latest album ‘We Are Stars’, both items, the portrait and the book will be gifts strictly for members of Constellation Club only + one year worth access to: monthly song stars formation posts (far ahead of their official releases to the wider public, we’ll be sharing secrets songs of the future in their formation states) – all Constellation Club posts will be via facebook posts for ‘Constellationists’ only + your name will appear in the thanks of our future album!

You may remember this name as David Bowie’s character in the SF masterpiece ‘The Man Who Fell to Earth – in the song Raf gives the perspective of Newton’s lover Mary-Lou. As the song closes, she describes Newton as “an alien / lost into our world”, tapping into not only the film character but evoking Bowie himself, her voice drifting over an aptly-chosen cyclic guitar motif….The gorgeous closer, ‘Waterloo’ has the stately progression of a rock ‘n’ roll era ballad, bowed double-bass and treated, wordless backing vocals cradling a hopeful conclusion, as if the past-honouring and future-seeking characteristics of the duo’s music have come to an understanding…It also feels right that the record reflects Raf and O’s twin inspirations – Bowie and Bush – in surprising and creative ways……I use the word ‘inspiration’ deliberately – rather than ‘influence’, say – because it’s not as if Raf and O simply sound like either Bowie or Bush.
